Inclusion Criteria
Firms within the dataset are classified as Natural Resources when their primary economic exposure is to physical natural capital or resource assets. Returns are derived from the extraction, cultivation, regeneration, or management of natural assets rather than from built infrastructure or corporate equity. This includes timberland and forestry, agriculture and farmland, water rights, mining and mineral resources, and upstream energy production (oil, gas and other resource extraction projects). Investments in renewable energy infrastructure are treated under Infrastructure, and land-based or farming ventures outside pure extraction are categorized under Real Estate or Agriculture-specific strategies.
